Dogs heart Tupperware too!

I got soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo mad today at this big doofus....

(Im talking about the dog..)

Because she did this.......

I was washing up in the kitchen, watching her having a hoot of a time on the lawn with a "toy" and something inside me went on red alert.  I gasped, which got the attention of my family and flung myself outside yelling 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!'  (I may have called her a bitch or something similar too.... )  The family came running, thinking the worst so I guess their lack of sympathy when I held up the measuring cup is probably quite normal in the scheme of things..

You are probably thinking Im some crazy loony but this vintage Tupperware measuring cup holds quite a lot of significance in my life.., well it did...  The set of these as well as many other awesome things around my home were once owned by my mum and I hang onto it all with dear life!  Its the memories of childhood cooking and family 'kitcheness' - if thats even a word -, its the connection to her that I refuse to let go of.  Its that familiarity that I miss so terribly.  I get a lot of comfort using her 'stuff' so to see my big, dopey Lab feasting on something so special, well I lost it!  Lets just say, if she has the balls to chew on something ever again, shes more gutsy than I ever thought!  I wont hold my breath though... she is a Lab after all!

xx

  1. We have a lab that is a chewer as well, I feel your pain. Mainly the kid's toys, and they are fast learning not to leave things lying around. I'm sure you didn't leave your measuring cup lying around, labs are big enough to reach almost anything they want! At least she isn't taking clothes off the line, which our last lab never grew out of.
